GT Radial’s Best Weekend of the Season: Two Drivers on the Podium at Formula Drift Seattle
Formula Drift Seattle delivered GT Radial’s strongest showing of the 2026 season, with two drivers landing on the podium in front of a sold-out crowd of roughly 20,000 fans.
Conor Shanahan took the top spot, finishing 1st, while Branden Sorensen rounded out the podium in 3rd. It’s a result that speaks for itself, and one the whole GT Radial team has been building toward all year.
A Big Weekend for Fans and Partners Too
A crowd that size makes every pass count, and GT Radial’s drivers gave them plenty to cheer for. The team also hosted several valued customers and partners at the event, including guests from TCI, TGI, and U.S. Autoforce. They got to see the action up close, watch the GT Radial drivers compete, and spend time with the team, a great firsthand look at what GT Radial is doing in Formula Drift.
The Championship Picture Is Heating Up
With the Seattle results locked in and points recalculated, GT Radial heads into the final stretch of the season in a strong position:
- Conor Shanahan is now just 5 points behind the 2026 Driver Championship lead.
- Branden Sorensen and Odi Bakchis are also within striking distance of the top spot.
- In the Tire Manufacturer Cup, GT Radial extended its lead over Nitto Tire to 94 points.
- GT Radial now holds more than a 140-point lead over Kenda and Kumho Tire, who currently sit in last place.
With only two rounds left in the season, GT Radial is well-positioned to bring home another Tire Manufacturer Championship.
Next Stop: Las Vegas
GT Radial’s next event is Formula Drift Las Vegas at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, September 24-26. The team will look to carry the momentum from Seattle straight into the final two rounds and close out the season strong.
